Inside Sales Engineer

Good opportunity for an Inside Sales Engineer with a growing technology equipment company in South San Jose.

Inside Sales Engineer is responsible to the following jobs:

  • Develop sales representatives international(mainly) as well domestic;

  • Guide and support international and domestic representatives to reach their sales goal;

  • Follow up representatives’ status, inquiries, feedback, evaluations, authorizations, etc.

  • Assist outside sales to follow up with customers, make the appointment for sales visit and technical demonstrations;

  • Assist outside sales to prepare required documents, e.g. quotes, bidding documents, etc.

  • Coordinate with other departments to find out the suitable solutions for the customers, and response promptly.

  • Gather information and report to sales manager to trigger the improvement of sales system.

  • Gather information and report to sales manager and copy CEO for the customer requirements about new product features.

  • Maintain sales system information based on various input from different departments (functions), e.g. Technical Support; Production, and Sales; etc. after getting sales manager’s approval.

  • Cooperate with Financial Department to follow up account receivable.

  • Coordinate trade shows, including preparation, logistics, participant, and/or remote support to onsite colleagues, and documentations which is trade show outputs.

  • Follow the defined procedures in the company, and raise questions to improve the procedure for better efficiency of the whole company.

  • Assist other departments to deal with related matters;

  • Other works arranged by sales manager and CEO.


Required Education and Experience:

  • One years as an inside sales or similar position;

  • Bachelor or above in EE or relevant major;

  • It’s a big plus if having working experiences of selling the Test Instruments and Solutions for the High Voltage Power System equipment which installed in high voltage substations, but not required.

Required General Skills and Knowledge

  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel;

  • Good planning skills;

  • Good presentation skills;

  • Good verbal and written communication skills;

  • Deep understanding of American culture;

  • Speaks English at an idiomatic level, and multilingual is preferred, but not required.


Required Professional Skills and Knowledge

  • Learn fast for the company's products, solutions;

  • Establish quickly the comparisons between competitors' products/solutions and ours. And find the right angle to convince and support our customers;

  • Familiar with the sales funnel theory and willing to use it to guide your daily sales activities and find the best practice in the company;

  • Use PDCA theory to follow up the sales activities and reach the sales goal.
